I have just moved in to a new home. The house is less than 1 year old. Over my septic tank the snow melts every time. We have had up to two feet of snow, however a perfect square where the tank is, melts all the snow. I am also getting a bad Septic smell in my yard. I was told that there is only few inches over my tank. It seams to be working alright. The contractor that put in the system complained the whole time, he said he underbid the job. Could he have left something out? I also had a lot of ledge in the area. Can you please give me some answers?
