A pooling of water has started around the vent pipe at the end of my drainfield. It can look just muddy in the morning before the showers start and by the end of two showers the pool has emerged and stays there all day. The tank was pumped this past Oct 2004 and I was told the drainfield was back flushing....but they didn't say what should be done to stop it. They have suggested terra-lifting, I purchased Septic Seep as I have clay soil and the system is 24 years old. We also had it pumped every two years till we found out the pumper we had been using was only pumping from one access hole instead of the two. Now we are with someone else and find that we have a yucky situationon our hands.
It is a 1000 gal tank, 24 yrs.old drainfield.....it has handled many family parties and two weddings..we did have outhouses too!. Is using your product different than the Septic Seep. Colorado mountains is where we are and if I do need a new drainfield ....how and where do they put it? Wouls love to hear your answers. Thanks a bunch!
