I have a 6 year old septic field. I had the tank pumped at 4 years and perhaps solids made it out to the field. The distribution box area was soggy. I dug at the end of the furthest end of the field, there are three large black chambers forming the field. I ruptured a matted membrane and my hole in formerly dry sand filled rapidly. I put a 4" flex drain tube to act as a catheter and move the soggy are into the woods rather than my lawn. I plan on adding two more arms to the system and shutting off the three origional to let them rehabilitate for a couple years. Is this a good plan? Any other ideas?
