My field was just diagnosed as being saturated. I had a wet, spongy area at the lowest end of the field and when the contractor came by, he said he had water pouring out of the holes when he probed. I just got a company to come in to do pump-and-haul for the next 4-6 weeks to get the leach field to dry out a little. In addition, they will inspect the tank, D-box and lines to see what can be done to restore the field. My question is this, I have read on a couple of websties that a field can be partially restored by letting it dry out. While I still plan to have everything checked out and the lines jetted, I was wondering how long it does a leach field need to dry out once saturated?
