I am from the Victoria, BC, Canada area on the West Coast. This last winter has had record rain falls. For the last couple of months I have had problems with my septic field. It seems to be completely saturated. I have a raised septic field, the house drains into a 3 stage septic tank and a pump transfers the water up to the septic field. For the last couple of months the junction box has been over flowing when the septic pump turns on. I have tried a number of things to help drain the field of excess water but the field is essentially filled with water. I even put another septic field line in to make it a total of 4 runs of drain/rock, with no improvement (I did it quickly with perhaps not enough drain rock). Hopefully when the rainy season slows down the system can catch up and start working again, but I am unsure. I am possibly 2 years away from a sewer system being installed in my area and I desperately want to avoid the cost of redoing my field (I have no extra money to do this even if I wanted to). Is there any hope that Septic Scrub could free up whatever is blocking my field? How effective would it be with lines full of water? How should I administer the material (if you think it will work). And the big questions are: - how much will it cost - what are the chances of it working - how do I get it into Canada. Please respond as soon as possible, I need a solution quickly, I may have to do some major reconstruction this coming weekend if I don't hear something that sounds positive.
