I noticed a wet spot above where my septic tank is and figured it must need pumped. We've only lived in this house for about 6 months and discovered that the septic system is approximately 15 years old and has probably never been pumped. The man who pumped the septic found about 1 foot of sludge on the top and told us that he thinks the lines are "SLUDGED OUT" and will need replaced. We ran a garden hose from the septic through the pipes about 3 feet and the water came right back to the septic tank. I will assume that we have a distribution box. I have read about your product as well as hydro-jet. What is hydro-jet? Is this something we should try? The tank must be full again because the water spot is back. Only three weeks have pasted since the tank was pumped. Also, if the lines do need replaced, is there anyone besides the health department who can perk the land. Government agencies are usually hard to work with. I'm afraid they're come with something that will cost me too much money or even condemn the house. I've read too many stories.
