Four years ago my drain field developed a wet spot that would not dry up. I had a valve installed and a new smaller drain field installed. I thought that after a couple of years I could switch back to the old system.

I have tested the drainfield every year for the last four years. After about a week the water backs back up into the septic tank. I know the drain field has dried up, I think it is just plugged. This drain field is only 15 years old, and was only used for 10 years.

Do you think Septic scrub could unclog this system or are more drastic measures needed?
