Thank you for your interest in Septic Scrub(TM) drainfield flow restorer. Thank you also for the compliments regarding the WEB page. I am not familiar with the brand name "Pure Flow". It might be the brand name for an aerobic septic system. An aerobic system is sometimes recommended in areas where the soil is unsuitable for convential systems. An aerobic system is essentially an air pump in the septic tank which keeps the waste digestion aerobic. An advantage of this system is that the discharge from the septic tank is much purer than from a conventional anaerobic septic tank. This allow the water to be placed on ground that does not perk well and allows processes such as surface evaporation to play role in water disposal. The disadvantages are that the system generally comes with a mandatory maintenance contract because higher maintenance is required to ensure the system operates as it is designed to do. Your local health department should be able to furnish you with information as to why this type of system is needed. I would suggest contacting them for information regarding your particular area.
