I agree that not any product will work all of the time. Chemicals are not the magic elixir to solve all problems. For example, if the septic tank has overflowed and allowed solids to transfer to the laterals, jetting is the only process which can remove this solid buildup. Septic Scrub does the same thing every time it is added to the drainfield. It is the chemical reaction with the sulfides and sugars which the anaerobic bacteria product. These byproducts account for the black color of all drainfields. The chemical oxidation of these products from the biomat and stone-soil interface helps improve the drainage of water and keep the drainfield dry. Septic Scrub will not solve a high water problem, overuse of a small field, or poor construction, or the problems you described.
